 WISH are Linda Hewson (Promoter and hostess of the mostess) and Kath Harding (DJ and promoter). Together Linda and Kath have been successfully running WISH since April 2006 at Rush in Soho. With the popularity of the club increasing and their clubbing philosophy changing over the last year they recently made the decision to relocate east to Shoreditch in the fabulously new and cool Gramaphone venue on Commercial Street. The new venue is bigger than before and sports a large upstairs bar area and a cosy downstairs underground-feeling dancefloor with a megawoofa soundsystem.
Downstairs Kath and her turntable-technician friends will play the coolest and newest in tech, electro, minimal and techno for the crowd's audible pleasure. Kath’s dj philosphy is to provide clubbers with sounds they don't realise they love, to introduce new and cool music, and most importantly for clubbers to leave feeling inspired by the music. She feels clubbing over the years has lost in some ways, its identity and ability to inspire clubbers. WISH will attempt to reintroduce that WOW feeling that clubbers used to get after a good night out. Kath and company will be joined on the main dancefloor by HobbyBoy, Wish's resident VJ, supplying magic lantern visuals. Upstairs in the bar/lounge, hostesses and hosts will tease and interact with the crowd all while being entertained by DJ's playing everything but house music from indie to rock to pop and an eclectic mix of sounds.
