Saturday the 6th of June will be a nice day for a White Wedding at WiSH
as we celebrate tying the knot. Everyone loves a wedding. Just ask Henry
VIII. You can dress up all silly, forget your name, forget your
intended's name, and spend all night trying to escape Uncle Disgusting
on the dancefloor. So we at Wish have decided to celebrate marriage in
all its wonderful varieties. Come in your wedding dress or dressed as a
page boy or even a vicar and we will bring you something old, something
new, something borrowed and something blue.
Something new can be found downstairs as Kath Harding brings you the
latest and greatest minimal tech tunes. Kath's set will be so current
that she has downloaded some of the tracks directly from the musician's
minds before they even realised they are going to make them. She will be
joined by our something borrowed - RAYMUNDO RODRIGUEZ from Jaded. Ray is
one of the most prolific and best DJ's working today. He plays regular
guest slots around the UK, Italy and Eastern Europe and has recently
started an exciting new residency at Rome's brand new super club 'Room
26' where he spins every Friday night. He can also be found at
Jaded where he has been their main resident for five years. Jaded has
recently moved to the amazing Gothic warehouse that is Ghost in East
London. It starts at 4.30am on Sunday morning so, if WiSH is the wedding
ceremony, Jaded is the reception. VJ Hobbyboy will supply his usual orgasmic visuals downstairs.
Upstairs you will find something old as Sean Hewson (more wrinkled
than a five pound note) struggles up to the decks and tries to load 78s
into the CD tray. He will be joined by two of our favourite residents -
Charlie Bird and Cassie-O. All three will be playing an eclectic mix of
old and new pop, rock, disco, electro, indie and maybe the odd wedding
classic. Come on, Eileen.
Something blue will be the sky above us as we are now in groping
distance of mid-summer. The weather will be hot, the confetti will be
flying. Doors open at 9pm. We are now super-organised so there will be
no more waiting in queues. You can now get through the doors quicker
than Britney can marry a random bloke in Vegas. You may now kiss the
