There’s a play about Christopher Isherwood called I Am A Camera. It wasn’t true, he was a writer, but we can see that the point is that he was there recording stuff. This is what Cleo is all about as well. Whenever and wherever more than two people collect to rejoice she will be there clicking away (on the camera).
But she ain’t no poser like Austin Powers. She has worked freelance for a variety of magazines, had her work published on various websites (this one included - 90% of the gallery is thanks to Cleo), and recently had work published in Time Out magazine. She also has a foundation degree in Photo Journalism and is currently studying a BA in Photography.
Now, Cleo doesn’t just indiscriminately fire off a barrage of shots like a crazed and unhappy American school kid, she is a huge lover of experimenting with technique and differing subjects. She has photographed on the alternative scene extensively and also enjoys fashion photography, alternative fashion and culture.
“The biggest buzz I get from taking pictures is when I take a photograph of someone who hates having their photo taken, and they love it. If they are happy so am I!"
